Reiki
What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing practice in which the practitioner uses his or her hands to guide energy, commonly referred to as "life source energy" through the body to promote physical healing, along with helping to relieve symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. Reiki practitioners can earn their level I, II, or III (Master) certification through training and attunement via a Reiki Master. Practitioners do not claim to be the source of the healing energy, but rather a channel in which to guide and direct the energy.

Before leaving on my PCT adventure, a dear friend helped me out by guiding me in the introduction to my spiritual journey. I was in a place of stress, discomfort, depression, and all around feelings of living out of alignment. I'd heard from another friend about her first experience of Reiki. She didn't say much, but merely encouraged me to try it. I didn't quite know what to think of this experience that no one could seem to describe to me in a straightforward way, but desperate, I tried. Goodness am I thankful that I did.

After my first session, I felt refreshed. At peace. Like I could run a marathon. I actually went out for a run when I returned home, thankful to have this blissful, tingly experience to finally find some comfort from. I continued receiving Reiki for years, until I finally felt called to learn the art myself.

In December of 2021, I received my level I & II Reiki certification from the same dear soul who initially began this journey for me. I'm glad to be in a place where I can offer this same (same, same but different) form of healing, comfort and guidance to others.
